Hyundai Elantra HD: Audio Remote control. Repair procedures
Inspection
| 1. |
Check for resistance between No.6 and No.7 terminals
in each switch position.

Removal
| 1. |
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
|
| 2. |
Remove the driver airbag module.
(Refer to the Airbag group - Airbag module and cluck
spring).

| 3. |
Remove the audio remote control switch (A) and airbag
connector (B).
|
| 4. |
Remove the steering wheel after loosening the nuts.
(Refer to the Steering group - Steering column and
shaft).

| 5. |
Loosen the screws (2EA) on the opposite side of the
steering wheel.
|
| 6. |
Remove the audio remote control switch (A) after
disconnecting the switch connector.
|
Installation
| 1. |
Install the audio remote control switch on the steering
wheel.
|
| 2. |
Install the steering wheel.
|
| 3. |
Connect the audio remote control switch connector
and airbag connector.
|
| 4. |
Install the driver airbag module.
(Refer to the Airbag group).
